Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager and with the arrival of digital technology a few years ago I really took off and made a major career change to become a full-time professional photographer after 30 years in IT. I live in Yelverton on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon and I love the light, landscapes and water that surrounds me here and take every opportunity to grab my kit and head for the moors or the coast.

High Dynamic Range Photography (HDR)

I heard about High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) from a computer graphics engineer rendering computer games who enthused about the technology in his area “bright things can be really bright, dark things can be really dark and details can be seen in both”. Burnt highlights and detail-less shadows are my pet bugbears so I set out to learn and explore how to apply HDRI to still photography, particularly landscape and architectural photography.
I now use HDRI in maybe much of my creative photography producing HDR images with drama and impact that has now become my personal photographic style.

Unobtrusive, Relaxed Wedding Photography

I earn my living as a Photojournalistic Wedding Photographer helping couples remember the joy of their wedding days. I photograph weddings every weekend in the summer and thoroughly enjoy the creative and photojournalist challenges of telling the story of a couple's very special day.
