About John Miles
Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager and with the arrival of digital technology a few years ago I really took off and made a major career change to become a full-time professional photographer after 30 years in IT.
I live in Plymouth, Devon and I love the light, landscapes and water that surrounds me here and take every opportunity to grab my kit and head for the moors or the coast.

For many of my photographs I use a technique called High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDR). I have written an article on 'Getting to grips with HDR' for the Royal Photographic Society and do take a look at my HDR Gallery.
As well as my creative work I thoroughly enjoy my Wedding Photography helping couples remember the joy of their wedding days. I photograph weddings every weekend in the summer and thoroughly enjoy the creative and photojournalist challenges.
I am pleased to have be awarded a Licentiate membership of the Royal Photographic Society and actively support and encourage fellow photographers across the world.
