I was getting fed up with the lack of highlight and shadow detail in my Samsung monitors. Finally lost patience when processing this image of the Taj Mahal where I was loosing detail in the top of the arch on my monitor which was clearly showing up on prints.
So I bit the bullet and bought an NEC Spectraview Reference 2960 monitor. I can see clearly now!

When I visited the Ooty's Botanical gardens on a Sunday afternoon I was besieged by families and school groups asking me to take their picture and/or to have their picture taken with me. Felt most odd. They thought it was great fun of course....and so did I.

Well, this year I've been to India, Barcelona and Venice and captured some great images. And then the wedding season started and I have hardly processed any of them. Well, I'm going to make an effort to spend a little time every day working on these travel jewels.

This image sells well in Plymouth. It's an HDR image of Smeaton's Tower on the Hoe. I took it around 6:30am in June as I was passing on my way to a networking breakfast. Three exposures merged in Photomatix and adjusted in Photoshop.
